There are several ways to clearing your skin and relieving dryness. There so many people out there who need to know how to clear their skin without spending a fortune. Dry skin is something that you can avoid.

I want to first start off with showing you how to clear your skin. If you use these secrets you should start seeing improvements within weeks.

Here are the secrets you can use to feel relieved:

1) Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil works well on fighting acne. It is a natural substance, which has been used all through out history for treating cuts, burns, acne and other infections. Tea tree oil is an essential oil derived from the Malalueca tree, which grows in North America.

The way tea tree oil works is by penetrating deep down into the skin layers relieving pain and healing your wounds. Not only does it disinfect but also deodorizes leaving you with a pleasant scent.

Massage tea tree oil into your blemishes and it will start to sooth your skin. For best results, look for 100% pure tea tree oil.

2) Myrrh Wash

To prevent yourself from harming your skin you want to treat it gently. This is why herbalists recommend myrrh wash. You don’t have to worry about it being to strong on your skin. Myrrh wash treats acne and helps to prevent breakouts.

You can make your own myrrh wash. All you need is a shallow dish, some water and myrrh tincture. Add about 25 drops and then start to mix it. Take a swab of cotton and dab it into the dilution. And now brush gently across your face. Do this during the morning or evenings.

3) Barberry Capsule And Fennel Tea

There may be lots of build-ups of toxins and impurities in your body. If you fail to eliminate them they can and will eventually exit through your skin.

Use barberry capsules to cleanse your insides and eliminate toxins, which may be causing you skin problems. Barberries are often used for reducing inflammation, bruises, aches and sprains. Use up to four cups of fennel tea after taking the capsules. Fennel tea is used as a digestive stimulant.

Your skin should be cleared within 4 to 6 weeks.

4) Azelaic Acid

Azelaic Acid is derived from wheat and helps to cleanse the skin from acne. It also reduces inflammation, exfoliates and clears up your skin. The gel works well to clear up papules and pustules. Can also be used on rosacea preventing flair ups.

Azelaic acid will keep pores clear. Now I must warn you that it does have side effects but nothing to serious. And so you can choose whether or not you would like to test it for your self.

5) If you are suffering from acne; trying to eliminate oil from the skin is not recommended. Use oil that is derived from flowers and plants. You can apply it directly to the infected area without it clogging up pores.

Some essential oils to use are:

Geranium oil: Is known for its healing powers. It is mostly used as an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic.

Chamomile oil: Also good for treating inflammation in skin.

Bergamot oil: Helps to reduce stress, acne, inflammation, infections etc. Also have antiseptic properties.

6) Papayas

Papayas are not just for eating. You can actually use them for treating dry skin. In fact, there are moisturizers that are made from papayas. Here is a way that you can use it to benefit your skin and relieve the dryness.

Apply the flesh of the papaya on your face and let it sit for about five minutes. Remove it sooner if you start to feel any stinging or tingling. It is believed that the enzyme in the papaya helps to get rid of dead skin cells. You should be able to find this product in your produce store.

7) Carrot Seed Oil

In this day and age most essential oils are overlooked. A lot of people feel the need to use expensive moisturizers to smooth their skin. Carrot seed oil is an essential oil capable of toning, smoothing, moisturizing and promotes healing to your skin.

You can use the standard dilution guideline of 2% essential oil and 98% carrier oil, which may be grape seed oil, olive oil, peanut oil, walnut oil or sesame oil etc. An aroma therapist in the herb store can help match your skin type and carrier oil.

Final Thoughts

If you apply some of these techniques to your skin you should see some pretty good results. The great thing about these products are that you don’t have to worry to much about any side effects. I wish you success on your journey in finding that right formula to clear your skin.

You might disagree, but hear me out on this. What should you consider before you buy an olive oil facial cleanser? You might want to think about the fact that oils could not be cleansing. One of the primary purposes of using cleansers is to remove excessive oils.

When natural oils, called sebum, build up on the skin, bacteria, which is normally present, feed on them. Sebum has some natural antibacterial activity, but only when it is initially secreted. Olive “leaf” extract has some natural antibacterial activity, too. But, it is due to a compound that is not present in the oil.

If the sebum and the bacteria continue to build up, pimples or blemishes can occur. After a while, if it is not cleaned away, odor occurs. Cleansers are an important part of any skincare ritual. While an olive oil facial cleanser might be alright for occasional use, it is not something that you would want to use on a daily basis.

People with excessive dryness may find that the popular cleansers are irritating. My suggestion is tea tree oil. It might sound like I am contradicting myself, but tea tree oil has natural antibacterial activity. Another excellent choice is manuka honey. It, too, has natural antibacterial and antioxidant activity.

The problem with most cleansers is that they contain petroleum-based alcohols. These cause burning, redness and irritation. They strip away sebum, which only stimulates the production of more. So, they are a bad choice for people with excessive oiliness or excessive dryness.

One of the things that an olive oil facial cleanser could provide is moisture. But, the cleansing would come from the use of clean clothes and warm water, not from the olive oil, itself. Your best bet is to use a gentle cleansing solution on a daily basis. There are many on the market.

On a bi-weekly or an occasional basis, use a deep cleansing mask. You may have tried masks before and found that they dried out after a few minutes. They were difficult to remove and might even have caused some irritation.

There are new masks on the market that will not dry out, because they contain macadamia oil. That is a luxurious moisturizer that soothes and nourishes the skin’s layers.

The cleansing ingredients in the mask are bentone gel, allantoin and kaolin. You will not find those ingredients in an olive oil facial cleanser. They are extracts from clay and sugar beets that work together to absorb excessive oils and pull dirt out of the pores.

Regardless of how dry your skin is, there is dirt and pollutants that need to be removed on a daily basis. There is no need to use an abrasive cleanser. But you do need to use something that has some cleansing activity.

Do yourself a favor. After cleansing, follow up with a nourishing moisturizer. Use one that contains grape seed oil during the day and one that contains avocado oil at night. You are not likely to be happy with the results of an olive oil facial cleanser. But, you have other options.

Tea tree, MELALEUCA ALTERNIFOLIA, native to Australia, is a tree or shrub with needle like leaves similar in appearance to cypress with heads of sessile pale flowers. The popular tea tree oil is derived from this tree. The aborigines of Australia have been known to have used the tea tree oil to treat a range of ailments from colds, sores to acne and even whooping cough.

Extensively used in aromatherapy, the leaves when crushed release essential oils of varying amounts and constituents. The oil is so potent that it can be diluted up to many times its volume and it still manages to retain its effectiveness all the same. Although the benefits of tea tree oil are numerous, for beauty treatments, it’s been found effective in skin and hair care. The following sections describe the uses of Tea Tree Oil for skin care and hair care.

Tea tree oil for skin care

Tea tree oil has been used effectively to treat acne, abscess, athlete’s foot, blisters, burns, cold sores, insect bites, oily skin, rashes, spots, warts and wounds. You can use tea tree oil to cure sunburns, diaper rash, toenail infections and problems of smelly feet.

Tea tree oil for hair care

Add a few drops of Tea tree oil to your regular shampoo to treat hair problems like persistent dandruff, itchy-scalp and even prevent head-lice. Massage it in, leave it on for 5-7 minutes and rinse off. Adding a few drops in pet shampoo/bath helps keep tics and rashes at bay.

Other benefits of tea tree oil
Fed-up with allopathic medicines? Packets of antibiotics that have gone down your throat seem to be of no use? The only things you find they have lightened are your pockets? Well, don’t panic, help is at hand, Tea Tree oil can be used to treat a variety of medical problems. A great remedy to soothe your sinuses; dab a drop of tea tree oil around your nose can help clear up blocked sinuses.

Add a few drops in a steam bath or vaporizer and inhale, a great relief for persistent colds and cough. Regular use of tea tree oil has been found to be effective in treating Asthma, bronchitis, catarrh, cough, sinusitis and even tuberculosis.

Tea tree oil is a great general disinfectant and can be effectively used to treat genito-urinary tract infections such as thrush, vaginitis, cystitis and pruitis.
Tea tree oil has properties that act as a immune booster. It helps equip the body to fight off a host of infections. Using tea tree oil is particularly effective if the body is already in a weakened condition due to illness, stress or prolonged treatment-involving antibiotics that lead to a reduction of the body’s natural resistance.

Using tea tree oil prior to a surgical operation or for those suffering from long-drawn debilitating illness has been found to be beneficial. The anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties have seen tea tree oil being used extensively in soaps, toothpastes, deodorants, disinfectants, gargles, germicides, aftershaves and colognes. Tea tree oil is safe to use, as it is non-toxic and non-irritant.

Although tea tree oil has no known side effects, some individuals may be sensitive to it. This calls for consideration of the strength of tea tree oil and should never be used undiluted on the body and particularly on sensitive areas.

The first question a consumer often asks before purchasing a skin care product is “Is it natural?” This perception has come about because numerous natural companies have been misinterpreting safety data sheets. Of course the reason they do this is to make their cosmetic seem safer when in reality this may not be the case.

Usually this inaccurate data comes in the form of Material Safety Data Sheets that have been taken out of context. Unfortunately MSDS often use animal studies as a determinant of safety , This however is not accurate and does not follow that that the same adverse effects are inevitable in humans.

Using animals as a means of deciding whether drugs and chemicals are safe has no weight what so ever. Most drugs are metabolised entirely differently by humans then animals. Even within the animal family some species will have no health affects while others will be killed by the same substance.

Thalidomide, a drug prescribed for morning sickness in the 60’s was tested on animals prior to release and deemed safe upon animal testing but soon after was found to cause birth defects in humans. Aspirin also causes birth defects in monkeys amongst many other animal species but is safe in humans.

With the massive amount of inaccurate information flying around the internet is it any wonder that consumers are going natural but natural does not mean safer for allergic skins.

Lavender oil which is frequently used in baby products and liberally in adult cosmetics is considered by most people to be fantastic because of its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Lavender however makes the skin more prone to burning from UV rays and also causes pigmentation, a condition that women pay hundreds to thousands of dollars to get rid of. Of course natural companies will not tell you that by using their lavender product that they will give you pigmentation. You are only told how fantastic it is and not what the long term consequences of use are.

Lavender and Tea Tree Oil have also been dubbed gender bender chemicals. Both of these natural oils have been shown to induce breast development in prepubescent boys. The report in The New England Journal of Medicine found that use of personal care products was a strong contributor to this phenomenon.

Lavender also is associated with contact dermatitis and allergies. Lavender contains Coumarin (makes you burn quicker), Geraniol, Limonene and Linalool; all of which are listed of the EU regulated list of contact allergens. Not a good choice for those with hypersensitivities. Of course this information about natural products is hidden from consumers in an attempt by natural companies to get a competitive edge over their synthetic counterparts.

Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) is hailed as being terrible for your skin and there is no doubt it can dry your skin and cause problems. Sodium Lauryl Sulphate is the benchmark for irritancy, it is what everything else is compared to. However replacing SLS with other surfactants does not mean you will not have an allergy. The newest breed of surfactants are derived from sugar and so are deemed natural, the fact that SLS comes from coconut another natural souce is not mentioned of course by natural companies. The Glucosides come from sugar and yes they are natural, but don’t use them if you have allergies. I have seen first hand people who look like they have been burnt from a couple of uses. Decyl Glucoside which is commonly used has a pH of 11. Yes you read that correctly. It is so alkaline that Citric Acid must be added at the end of formulation to bring down the pH so it does not burn your skin.

Do not rely on safety data sheets as an indicator of safeness. What causes an allergy in one person does not in another. Education however is the best knowledge you can have as it allows you to have choice and not be misled by hyped up advertising.

Tea tree oil is an essential oil which is yellow- or green-tinged with a fresh amphoraceous smell. It is produced by steam distillation of the leaves of the plant – Melaleuca alternifolia, more commonly known as the Australian tea tree. As the name suggests, the trees are native to Australia and have been used for thousands of years by the aboriginals in Australia for healing wounds, cuts, abrasions, burns and infections by applying the crushed leaves to the affected areas.

These days the tea tree oil is being used as an antiseptic to treat burns, cuts, insect bites etc. It has anti-inflammatory properties and hence can be used as a topical application to give relief in conditions like arthritis, eczema, bursitis and gout.It can also give relief from pain because of its analgesic property. The oil is also anti-fungal. In some hospitals in Australia, it has been used before surgery to boost the affected immune system and in a London hospital, a study has been done and it was shown that the Tea Tree Oil can be an alternative to Vancomysin in countering the super bug methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Tea tree oil when inhaled makes breathing easier by acting as a decongestant. It can alleviate symptoms of sore throat and decrease the symptoms of cold and flu.

SKIN

The Tea tree oil has many uses for the skin. Its proven antifungal properties can be used to treat candidacies, ringworm, athlete’s foot and thrush. It can also be used to treat dandruff because it fights Malassezia furfur, which is most common cause for this affliction. Fungal nail infections can be cured by application of a formulation containing tea tree oil twice daily and relief can be typically seen in 3-4 months.

As a strong anti-viral agent, Tea Tree is effective in fighting many common
infectious diseases such as cold, shingles, measles, flu and chicken pox.

Tea tree oil is effective in treating boils, insect bites, minor wounds, soothe inflammation caused by sunburn poison ivy and bee stings.

The essential oil is also known to prevent foul body odor and soothe burning feet. It reduces scarring caused by hypertrophy. When massaged, tea tree oil may alleviate the discomfort of joint injuries and sore muscles.

It can also be used in the treatment of acne. When topically applied, a 5% solution of tea tree oil has been proved as effective as 5% benzoyl peroxide though it had a slower onset of action.

The oil can be used effectively for treating nappy/Diaper rash in babies which is cause.

Research has also shown that tea tree oil may have topical anti-viral property, with the Herpes virus, chicken pox, cold sores, warts, and shingles blisters, etc.

A word of caution; though tea tree oil is safe to use, it should not be used undiluted as in case of all essential oils. Undiluted Tea Tree Oil can cause irritation, itchiness, and redness on sensitive skin. Therefore, in case of people with sensitive skin, it is prudent to dilute the tea tree oil in another base oil like olive oil or even sunflower oil.

Warts are often regarded as an embarrassing problem. Most people do not like to talk about it, but do not realize that having warts is not uncommon. In fact, studies show that 4 out of 10 people will have warts during their lifetime.

Warts are relatively harmless. Though they tend to spread easily, they are noun-cancerous. If treated immediately, further spreading of warts to other parts of the body can be stopped.

There are several ways of getting rid of warts. Natural methods are available, as well as over-the-counter medication and surgery. Take note, though, that the best wart removal ideas are those, which are reputable and suited for your wart and skin type.

Natural methods are most ideal for a lot of people since they are cheaper, readily available and tried-and-tested. There are numerous wart treatments that use natural ingredients that may be lying around in your home or kitchen. The use of vegetables like garlic and potato helps in removing warts. If using garlic, all you need to do is peel and slice a clove, and rub it on the wart daily until it disappears. The same goes with using potato; all you need is a small slice rubbed on the area for 30 minutes twice daily until it disappears.

Tea tree oil is said to be the best wart removal oil readily available in the market. Rubbing pure tea tree oil that is high-qualityhigh quality on a wart can help make it disappear in a few weeks. An alternative would be rubbing one drop of lemon essential oil twice daily. This promises faster results.

Another natural method of removing warts is the use of Aloe sap. Aloe is well-known for it’s medicinal and cosmetic properties, and has been used in skin and hair products for years. Rubbing a sliver of Aloe on a wart helps reduce irritation or discomfort and speeds up the healing process. It softens the skin as it helps heal the wart.

It can take one to three weeks for a wart to be removed using the natural methods. For those who prefer faster healing, there are some over-the-counter creams and medicines that can be used to get rid of the wart.

Any cream or medicine containing salicylic acid can help get rid of warts in a matter of days. Salicylic acid is used as a solution for a variety of skin problems like persistent acne, so be sure to look for medicines specifically suited for warts. These medicines are usually applied on the wart and left to dry. The wart gets darker and falls off. Salicylic acid is the best wart removal medicine available. However, compared to natural methods, using medicines are pricier.

For persistent warts, surgery is also an option. It is definitely expensive, and will have to depend on the availability and recommendation of your dermatologist.

Remember that the best wart removal method will always depend on you and whichever method you feel is the safest and most reputable. Additional information can be found in medical journals and on the internet Internet about warts.

Those of us who suffer from oily skin understand just how hard it can be to control the condition. While there are facial skin care products available to help “mop up” the excess oil, there are very few that actually help to prevent the over-production of oil altogether. In fact, some creams, moisturizers, cleansers, and astringents are far too harsh for oily skin types and can cause excess dryness and blotchy skin.

One of the best ways to keep oily skin under control is to develop a good skin-cleansing routine. Washing your face with a liquid cleanser (never use bar soap!), then following by a gentle toner and pH-balancing moisturizer is a great place to start. You may have to try a few products before you find one that works, but try to stick to very gentle cleansers; the ones for sensitive skin usually work best for oily skin types. Try to perform this routine once at the beginning of the day and once again before bed.

There are many over-the-counter products available for treating oily skin that you can try out, but in severe cases, you may find that the best solution is to seek a dermatologist and try a prescription medication. If you are looking for a natural approach to clear skin, products containing tea tree oil or witch hazel are excellent, as they are naturally antibacterial. A good mud or clay-based masque once a week can also work wonders for tightening up pores.

You may want to consider products that contain grape seed or jojoba, as they are known for forming a sort of “seal” over the skin to keep bacteria and dirt out. You may also try an exfoliating scrub with oatmeal or apricot to rid the dead skin and daily grime from your skin.

There are an abundance of oily skin products on the market today, but it is very important that you choose from them wisely. If you are uncertain what to buy, it is strongly recommended that you obtain some advice from your local doctor. There are plenty of options available to you for curing oily skin, it is really just a system of trial and error when it comes to finding the right product. Even with prescription medication, you may find that one works better than others, or some may have undesirable side effects.
