I want to first start off with showing you how to clear your skin. If you use these secrets you should start seeing improvements within weeks.

Here are the secrets you can use to feel relieved:

1) Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil works well on fighting acne. It is a natural substance, which has been used all through out history for treating cuts, burns, acne and other infections. Tea tree oil is an essential oil derived from the Malalueca tree, which grows in North America.

The way tea tree oil works is by penetrating deep down into the skin layers relieving pain and healing your wounds. Not only does it disinfect but also deodorizes leaving you with a pleasant scent.

Massage tea tree oil into your blemishes and it will start to sooth your skin. For best results, look for 100% pure tea tree oil.

2) Myrrh Wash

To prevent yourself from harming your skin you want to treat it gently. This is why herbalists recommend myrrh wash. You don’t have to worry about it being to strong on your skin. Myrrh wash treats acne and helps to prevent breakouts.

You can make your own myrrh wash. All you need is a shallow dish, some water and myrrh tincture. Add about 25 drops and then start to mix it. Take a swab of cotton and dab it into the dilution. And now brush gently across your face. Do this during the morning or evenings.

3) Barberry Capsule And Fennel Tea

Some essential oils to use are:

Geranium oil: Is known for its healing powers. It is mostly used as an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic.

Chamomile oil: Also good for treating inflammation in skin.

Bergamot oil: Helps to reduce stress, acne, inflammation, infections etc. Also have antiseptic properties.

6) Papayas

When natural oils, called sebum, build up on the skin, bacteria, which is normally present, feed on them. Sebum has some natural antibacterial activity, but only when it is initially secreted. Olive “leaf” extract has some natural antibacterial activity, too. But, it is due to a compound that is not present in the oil.

If the sebum and the bacteria continue to build up, pimples or blemishes can occur. After a while, if it is not cleaned away, odor occurs. Cleansers are an important part of any skincare ritual. While an olive oil facial cleanser might be alright for occasional use, it is not something that you would want to use on a daily basis.

People with excessive dryness may find that the popular cleansers are irritating. My suggestion is tea tree oil. It might sound like I am contradicting myself, but tea tree oil has natural antibacterial activity. Another excellent choice is manuka honey. It, too, has natural antibacterial and antioxidant activity.

The problem with most cleansers is that they contain petroleum-based alcohols. These cause burning, redness and irritation. They strip away sebum, which only stimulates the production of more. So, they are a bad choice for people with excessive oiliness or excessive dryness.

One of the things that an olive oil facial cleanser could provide is moisture. But, the cleansing would come from the use of clean clothes and warm water, not from the olive oil, itself. Your best bet is to use a gentle cleansing solution on a daily basis. There are many on the market.

On a bi-weekly or an occasional basis, use a deep cleansing mask. You may have tried masks before and found that they dried out after a few minutes. They were difficult to remove and might even have caused some irritation.

There are new masks on the market that will not dry out, because they contain macadamia oil. That is a luxurious moisturizer that soothes and nourishes the skin’s layers.

The cleansing ingredients in the mask are bentone gel, allantoin and kaolin. You will not find those ingredients in an olive oil facial cleanser. They are extracts from clay and sugar beets that work together to absorb excessive oils and pull dirt out of the pores.

Regardless of how dry your skin is, there is dirt and pollutants that need to be removed on a daily basis. There is no need to use an abrasive cleanser. But you do need to use something that has some cleansing activity.

Do yourself a favor. After cleansing, follow up with a nourishing moisturizer. Use one that contains grape seed oil during the day and one that contains avocado oil at night. You are not likely to be happy with the results of an olive oil facial cleanser. But, you have other options.

Usually this inaccurate data comes in the form of Material Safety Data Sheets that have been taken out of context.  Unfortunately MSDS often use animal studies as a determinant of safety ,  This however is not accurate and does not follow that that the same adverse effects are inevitable in humans.

Using animals as a means of deciding whether drugs and chemicals are safe has no weight what so ever. Most drugs are metabolised entirely differently by humans then animals. Even within the animal family some species will have no health affects while others will be killed by the same substance.

Thalidomide, a drug prescribed for morning sickness in the 60’s was tested on animals prior to release and deemed safe upon animal testing but soon after was found to cause birth defects in humans. Aspirin also causes birth defects in monkeys amongst many other animal species but is safe in humans.

With the massive amount of inaccurate information flying around the internet is it any wonder that consumers are going natural but natural does not mean safer for allergic skins.

Lavender oil which is frequently used in baby products and liberally in adult cosmetics is considered by most people to be fantastic because of its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Lavender however makes the skin more prone to burning from UV rays and also causes pigmentation, a condition that women pay hundreds to thousands of dollars to get rid of.  Of course natural companies will not tell you that by using their lavender product that they will give you pigmentation.  You are only told how fantastic it is and not what the long term consequences of use are.

Lavender also is associated with contact dermatitis and allergies.  Lavender contains Coumarin (makes you burn quicker), Geraniol, Limonene and Linalool; all of which are listed of the EU regulated list of contact allergens.  Not a good choice for those with hypersensitivities. Of course this information about natural products is hidden from consumers in an attempt by natural companies to get a competitive edge over their synthetic counterparts.

Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) is hailed as being terrible for your skin and there is no doubt it can dry your skin and cause problems.  Sodium Lauryl Sulphate is the benchmark for irritancy, it is what everything else is compared to.  However replacing SLS with other surfactants does not mean you will not have an allergy.  The newest breed of surfactants are derived from sugar and so are deemed natural, the fact that SLS comes from coconut another natural souce is not mentioned of course by natural companies.  The Glucosides come from sugar and yes they are natural, but don’t use them if you have allergies.  I have seen first hand people who look like they have been burnt from a couple of uses.  Decyl Glucoside which is commonly used has a pH of 11.  Yes you read that correctly.  It is so alkaline that Citric Acid must be added at the end of formulation to bring down the pH so it does not burn your skin.

Do not rely on safety data sheets as an indicator of safeness.  What causes an allergy in one person does not in another.  Education however is the best knowledge you can have as it allows you to have choice and not be misled by hyped up advertising.
